While Zalmi "shopped and dropped", his wife "cooked and packed". Today, Zalmi has grown his business to become the largest US food producer in the freshly-prepared, daily delivery category - which now delivers meal plans to thousands of clients nationwide.

CCO Yos Schwartz and CEO Zalmi Duchman founded The Fresh Diet over five years ago.
Having graduated from the world-renowned Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Institute with an AA in culinary arts, Yos is the creative genius behind each and every dish served by the fresh diet. Chef Yos is also responsible for overseeing all kitchens and has the final word on quality control and consistency throughout each of the six kitchens.

Richard Silverman is an MBA graduate from the Stern School of Business at NYU and holds a Bachelors and Masters degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. Prior to his position at The Fresh Diet, Richard spent fifteen years working as a small business consultant during which time he worked with roughly 80 companies in a multitude of different industries.

He also enjoyed the title of Executive Chef in Ferre Dallas and Executive Chef for the Double Tree Hotel Campbell Centre. Taking care of clients is his number one priority.

Chef Domar has upheld the position of Executive Chef in our Toronto kitchen for the past three years. Starting out as a prep cook he has come a long way with The Fresh Diet team. His vast array of culinary experience, including employment in fine dining, hotels, catering companies, and assisted living homes, as well as his education from the Culinary Management program at the Toronto-based Humber College, has prepared him for his management role at The Fresh Diet. Her responsibilities include creating all nutrition labels, developing new recipes that are consistent with The Fresh Diet mission and standardizing ingredients and recipes across all Fresh Diet kitchens.

While his official title is Logistics Director, Cesar’s unofficial title is “Master of Everything Else!” Day to day, Cesar supervises the 5 state Delivery Managers and oversees all delivery operations. He acts as a liaison between top level management and delivery personnel to maintain the high levels of delivery service that Fresh Diet customers are accustomed to.
